I am enthralled by the multifaceted nature of water. While in the beginning phases of my journey with watercolor paints, I was less interested in what I might illustrate or produce through painterly technique, and more enraptured by the flow of water and color themselves. The properties of paint on paper and how each behaves in relation to the other is what fascinates me. For each piece in this Float series form announced itself, and I simply extracted its shape wherever water and color declared their boundaries.
